Crap! I've been "Tagged"

I HATE, detest and LOATHE all sorts of forwarded cutesy e-mails that include jokes, sappy stories and cartoon animals with large dewy eyes. In addition I HATE, detest and LOATHE all of those get to know you questionnaires one is coerced into filling out and then must share share with others. Often extortion fuels the process--Do this immediately and extremely good luck will befall you. If not, you or you pet will die a horrible death by the end of the month.

But since Willie Hewes is such a dear and it is the Xmas season, (and I am loaded up with holiday music more than the Christmas turkey is pumped full of hormones) I feel generous. Below are my answers to 5 weird things.

1. My tic is that I crack my knuckles in my sleep (or so I have been told)

2. My favorite spot on a man's body (or a woman's, for that matter) is the little crease between the upper leg and the torso. I am sure it has a name.

3. I have a extreme phobia of tires (or for Brits tyres or for Swedes däcken--I think) that when I fill up a tire with air it will explode in my face. I was actually once on the Car Talk radio show talking about my phobia.

4. I don't like artichokes and cheesecake (together or apart).

5. I had an imaginary friend when I was 15-36 years old. His name was Jesus.

Okay, now I am supposed to tag six others. Suddenly I feel powerful. I will only choose bloggers (and Willie already chose Elliot--drats!)
1. Joe G (and I'd love it if you would share your six weird things on your excellent podcast)
2. Alex
3. Christine
4. Anna HP
5. Diana (she is the queen of questionnaires and personality tests)
6. Nonesquitur

TAG, you are now IT.

Oh, honey, no, it's not like that! You didn't have to follow my model! :D I didn't mind this one because it's basically completely open, you just need to put weird things, you can put anything you like!

*blushes* Oops! *laughs*

*reads the entry*

Tyres, huh? Wow. Are you any good with balloons? I can do balloon animals, I guess that's kinda weird too.

In general, I share your dislike of chainletters and MySpace questionnaires and the like, because they're generally really long, pretty boring and, sort of, /leading the witness/ as it were. I filled one out once, but ended up saying a bunch of stuff I didn't want to share with the world at large, so I didn't post it.

So sorry for dragging you into this! Eep! Thanks for being a sport though. Double points for you!

How can you not like artichokes? I thought you were a good man... *sigh*

Elliot, I only ONCE had a cheesecake I liked. It was vegan. Normally it is just too thick and dense and rich and by bite three, I am done with it.

anna hp, well done. In going back to Willie's site I realize it was 6 things that are weird, oh, well.

willie, see that. I've been so conditioned by all of these stupid questionnaires that I thought I had to follow a plan. duh!

alex, artichokes are demonic. Didn't they teach you that in the Church

ahahaaa... you were all tagged and I t'weren't :D

P: Of course they are demonic, why else would they be so good? And demonic things are ok as long as we just eat them and dont hang out and play checkers.

Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

AAAAAh, curse you!!! Well, what's done is done and I must comply ;-)

BTW... I was recently reading a book where the main character had the same tire phobia (The Bean Trees, by Barbara Kingsolver).

I love your swedish. Du är en het spädbarn is the best part so far. I found your blog through Alex's, and I like both! :D

Peterson, that is the whole idea with cheescake. You get so full from just a few bites but it´s so good you just can´t stop. It is the devil's work I tell you.

ooh there is a sixth thing? Must .. answer .. all .. of .. it ... *sighs*

Love Above All, nothing personal. I chose the folks who I KNEW would find it the most annoying or delightful. I don't know you enough to determine into which category you fall.

nonsequitor, so glad others have this phobia. Most people think I am insane (including the Car Talk guys)

linderholm, JAG vilja till har din Svensk spädbarn. Ritt hest med glädje.

anna hp, I strongly disagree. Now if we are talking Swedish Glace Soya Icecream, now THAT is a different story.

I posted my answers...

Hey Peterson,

I've been behind on reading your blog. It was greating seeing you out here in L.A. all those months ago.

I can't believe you don't like cheesecake though. I'm going to have to sit with that for a while.

Glad to see you're still blogging!
